Chinese Alter

Chinese Alter

Since there are exactly zero tourists here in Pattaya I had the pleasure of wandering “Chinatown” which is a joke but still, I had the place to myself. Well, maybe not myself, there was a lady at the temple for about a minute and a security guard sitting there bored. In all, it was a pleasant day out since I was up in the area picking up some stuff from a store so I figured I swing by and take…

The San Fernando Cathedral

The San Fernando Cathedral

This is another old one from the archives I never edited. This is obviously the San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, Texas. I never really liked the image and at the time my edited skills didn’t allow me to edit it the way I wanted to. Plus the software at the time was crap. I shot it for HDR so I had bracketed the photo and I used to do 5 at a time using an Olympus EM-1. Forget the…

Panamanian Skyline

Panamanian Skyline

I took this in Panama City, Panama a few years back. I thought it was a great idea to lug around a Nikon D810. I quickly learned that it was a crap idea and learned to carry much lighter cameras unless I needed the big ass, Nikon, for something. Hell, lately I have been using my Sony RX100III. Why? Because it’s light and happily fits in my cup holder. That’s how I roll these days. Enjoy.

Pachyderm

Pachyderm

I took this at a little place I refer to as Hell on Earth or Nong Nooch Gardens. I still hate the place and vow never to return. Still, I got an elephant photo and if you are wondering what a pachyderm is feel free to read on Wikipedia. Clearly, Wikipedia knows way more about the word than I do. For inquiring minds, I must tell you that elephants in large numbers rather smell. Mix that in with high heat…

Self Isolating Without A Care In The World

Self Isolating Without A Care In The World

I’m working on a major editing project along with all sorts of stuff I have ignored so I took a break because I had a cat photo. Who doesn’t like cat photos? I took this one at Wat Pho in Bangkok last month. I had no real idea if it would ever be published but when you want a quick edit your go-to is always an animal photo. In this a cat at a temple which is a common sight….

Little Restaurant On A Back Soi

Little Restaurant On A Back Soi

If you haven’t figured out I live in Thailand; surprise! I live in Thailand. With most crap shut down due to some virus that’s going around like cooties leaves me nothing but time. Not that I did a lot before. However, napping, watching TV and reading is hard work along with socializing with friends and keeping the San Miguel Brewery in the black financially. I still do the napping, TV watching and reading but the socializing seems to have diminished…

Fly Into The Sun

Fly Into The Sun

I get that this one might be difficult to figure out why I named it fly into the sun. If you look you will see a bird flying towards the sunset. If you are curious, it’s a swift because even though I live right near a beach there are no seagulls here in Thailand. My theory is the damn pigeons ate them. Yes, we have beach pigeons but not a seagull in sight. I’m shocked we have soi dogs because…

Spiritual Tree

Spiritual Tree

This is a spirit tree a very common sight around South East Asia. If you look you will see them constantly if you are paying attention. This one was in a Chinese temple. I could not begin to figure out why there is a motorcycle helmet on the tree except there were motorbikes parked behind me. I’ll just leap to a logical conclusion on that. Enjoy.
