There Be Dragons In Thailand

There Be Dragons In Thailand

Well, at least this little China Town that is located in Pattaya. Since many Thais have Chinese ancestry it’s not unusual to see Chinese temples and dragons. I just happened to be in the tourist area that they call China Town and took this photo. I figured it would be a different pace from a boat. Sadly, the weather here hasn’t been conducive to photography. We are stuck between a monsoon in the south and a tropical storm in the…

The Shimmer Of Water

The Shimmer Of Water

Sticking with Florida since I haven’t switched to another directory within Lightroom. I’m lazy like that. This was taken between Sanibel Island and Captiva Island. I think I was on the bridge that is between them but don’t hold me to it as it was over a year ago. The title seemed simple enough, the shimmer of water since I clearly shot the shimmering water. I will come clean and admit that I may have ‘enhanced’ the image colours just…

Silhouettes At Sunset

Silhouettes At Sunset

I might as well end the week with a beach photo that was taken 43 frames later since I am looking at the file names and can tell by the count. This is again, Fort Myers Beach in Florida. When you get a nice run of sunset photos you keep it going, it’s that or I go back to my new boat fetish because I have plenty of those to go through. I had to do a lot of cropping…

Of Sea And Sky

Of Sea And Sky

Thinking this is a lovely sunset of the Gulf of Thailand? Wrong! This is actually the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Myers Beach! I took it in January 2019. The title of sea and sky might be a book that I vaguely recall or I was witty and it’s self-explanatory. Not sure why I haven’t edited it before but here it is for public consumption. Shocking, not done in HDR it’s just some filters and some Photoshop magic. Enjoy.

Calm Day On Jomtien Beach

Calm Day On Jomtien Beach

I guess you would call it my home beach since I live in Jomtien. It’s calmer and cleaner than it’s sister beach known as Pattaya Beach which you could not pay me enough to swim in. Not that I swim in the water anyways. Lot’s do and Jomtien Beach is the popular local beach for local Thais that flock to it on the weekend. By local, I also mean those from Bangkok. I should point out I took this photo…

Antiques Shop In Naklua Thailand

Antiques Shop In Naklua Thailand

This one isn’t going to win any awards but I just like the funky way this shop looked when I went past it on my bike. I stopped and snapped a picture. There aren’t a lot of antique shops here in Thailand. Most stuff like that is sold in small stalls in markets around the country or through private connections. I didn’t go in as I’m not really interested in antiques but it did look cool. Enjoy.
