Riding Around Pattaya

Riding Around Pattaya

These are just shots I have taken while riding around Pattaya. Sure some are from the same area but they fit together. Some are not. I have a ton of these and I didn’t feel like working on anything else as I have been ass-deep in Photoshop the last few days working on logos and menus for a friend. Enjoy. Advertisements

The Lonely Tree

The Lonely Tree

I saw this riding past on my motorbike and I knew I had to get this shot. It’s just a weird dead tree on the beach. The final piece is the soi dog laying down in front of it. I used my Olympus TG-4 to take the image as it was raining out. What I didn’t realize is that I didn’t have it set to RAW. It’s the most intuitive camera for changing the setting for RAW. I was able…

Storm Over Naklua Thailand

Storm Over Naklua Thailand

This was the last photo I shot on an outing to Naklua for the day. I was actually across Pattaya Bay at Bali Hai and I saw this and stopped and took the photo. It never rained over on my side but if I had to guess Naklua got hit. It’s not unusual to drive a few kilometers and see the ground wet from rain that I never got at my own place. Enjoy.

Little Soi To Wongamat Beach

Little Soi To Wongamat Beach

Wongamat Beach is in the Naklua area of Pattaya. It’s not one of those pristine white sand beaches you see in Thailand. It’s more small rocks. It’s also not as open to the public as the other beaches in the area. There are only a few access points that aren’t private and controlled by resorts or condos. Those beaches are the white sand because it’s been trucked in and maintained. Which is neither here nor there. The point is the…

Vehicles Around Pattaya

Vehicles Around Pattaya

You see a lot of stuff on the roads of Thailand. Trucks so overloaded you are amazed that they are still upright. Not saying it doesn’t make the news when one does flip or the back is so overloaded the front wheels no longer reach the road. Still, these are the ones I have seen while wandering that I found interesting. Nothing fancy about these, just some general snaps I took on my wanderings. If someone is wondering what the…

Welcome Arch To Pattaya Beach

Welcome Arch To Pattaya Beach

Normally I would try and center a photo like this by walking my happy ass out to the correct spot. In this case, I am not partial to trying to kill myself via bike or car so I took it on the side of the road. Since its the major entrance to Pattaya Beach Rd. from that direction it’s a busy little stretch of road. After the two bikes went by a plethora of cars came rolling in. It was…

Signs In Jomtien Thailand

Signs In Jomtien Thailand

I do love a good sign here. I have missed taking a photo of But Stop when bus was misspelled but you can’t have everything in life. All of these except the police box was taken here in Jomtien where I live. The police box was taken in Pattaya when I was up there on an excursion. The best thing about these types of shots is that they are easy and just fun to take. Nothing serious about them. Also,…

Around Pattaya Part 2

Around Pattaya Part 2

It seems everyone liked these shots so I figured I post more. I have a ton of them. Just random snaps I take when I’m out and about. I rarely use my phone as a camera. Instead, I carry my Sony RX100iii or sometimes a bigger camera. Some of these were shot with manual focus adapted lenses on a Sony A7R or Sony A7ii. Enjoy!

Valley In Rayong Thailand

Valley In Rayong Thailand

I went to a durian farm somewhere in the wilds of Rayong with a group of friends. Of course, we picked the hottest day to possibly do this but it’s Thailand and we have 2 seasons. Hot and rainy and just hot. As you can tell we are now in the hot and rainy season with storms being common. I can’t really tell you much about durian farming other than they grow on trees, they only smell like unwashed feet…

The Burning Sunset Over The Gulf Of Thailand

The Burning Sunset Over The Gulf Of Thailand

My usual view when the skies aren’t grey and threatening rain from my condo. I was looking out my balcony and saw this, grabbed my Nikon D810. I have my Tamron 28-300 which is not the sharpest lens in the world and took the photo. When it came time to edit I was going to remove all details from the building but I put it into Aurora HDR it popped some features so I left it. In the end I…
