Still Here

Since I am stuck trying to build a new server here at home and fighting with Windows Update and moving data from one dying to server to a new one my focus wasn’t on editing. I had this image canned and ready to go. It seemed appropriate with the dandelion’s gone to seed still there and hanging around which is more-or-less what I have been doing with a new server. So the title Still Here seemed appropriate.

Enjoy.

Pond Reflection

Just another shot I had laying around. This is a supposed to be a small pond near my condo but it’s turned more into a marsh with low water in it. I shot this when I first got my Sony a58 and the kit lens that came with it. I sold all my old Minolta/Sony autofocus glass which I slightly regret now as I had some rare lenses in the collection and with an adapter I could have easily fit them on my Sony A7R but hindsight is 20/20 as they say.

Enjoy!

Tulips and Drops

I promised these flowers after the Chicago series which was mostly architectural stuff. I keep my promises. These were tulips I shot when I first got my Sony A58 (now sold) and all done on the kit lens that came with it. The Sony and I had a parting after it failed miserably in low light photography. Still, the images I captured were very good.

So enjoy the tulips and drops.

Waiting for Summer

I have been shooting color for the last few days but I love some black and white and I love the Sony A58 as an amazing camera.  I shot this bench on a whim and then did some fiddling around in Nik Tools to get what I wanted out of it.  I am learning to edit in color first then do the final in black and white to get richer darks out of it.  For all the baseball fans out there I know the season has started, but this bench still has the empty feel of waiting for the boys of summer to come along and play.

Rain on Petals

I need to write a review on the most excellent Sony A58 camera because it has exceeded anything I expected for a “entry level” DSLR.  This was shot on the kit lens using the built-in flash on the camera.  Absolutely amazing!
