Pond Reflection

Just another shot I had laying around. This is a supposed to be a small pondĀ near my condo but it’s turned more into a marsh with low water in it. I shot this when I first got my Sony a58 and the kit lens that came with it. I sold all my old Minolta/Sony autofocus glass which I slightly regret now as I had some rare lenses in the collection and with an adapter I could have easily fit them on my Sony A7R but hindsight is 20/20 as they say.

Enjoy!

Life On The Pond

Can’t really call these landscape photos. So I threw in 3 of them from the various ponds/lakes that dot Meadowlark Gardens. I guess I am into water plants.

Enjoy.

On Vertical Pond

Little play on a movie title there. Just a very quick edit using the new Photoshop CC 2015 which meant I had to re-add all my plug-ins again. Still, the more I use the various tools the more I am comfortable with them.

I like the vertical version of the pond images I shot just to stretch it out a bit and give it a different perspective. Plus the clouds reflected off the water is very cool looking.

So enjoy.

Ripples Across The Water

I mentioned how I enjoyed having a back catalogue to work with. It just allows me to keep playing with images and not get bored with one thing. I still am sitting on memory cards I need to load in. I have been a productive little photographer of late even with the limited amount of time I have had shooting.

This image is of one of the other small lakes or ponds at Meadowlark Gardens. I just really liked how everything was detailed and there is still some motion in the trees from the wind that was blowing across the water at the time. I still remain impressed with how well the Panasonic GX7 and the Olympus 45mm (90 eq) or the 12mm (24 eq) performed during this outing. The images just have been outstanding for the most part.

I went with a cinematic crop this time just give it a more expansive feeling since there is so much going on visually in the image.

Enjoy.

Standing Out In A Crowd

I just liked how the water lily was all by itself amongst the lily pads. Hence the title of the image.

I show this with a 90mm lens to isolate the water lily from everything else and then just played around until I was happy with it.

Enjoy.

Green Tranquility

Sticking with the flowers one day and landscapes the next.

For some reason I was fascinated by benches this outingĀ and I really liked this one and its texture and how it looked out onto the pond. The image is totally green which is why I named it the way I did.

Enjoy.
