Getting Buggy

While I was out shooting I ran into these two. While the honey bee wasn’t that interested in a portrait the moth/butterfly thing was. So I gladly snapped them. I like to thank my macro lens for being 1:1. I also like to thank the various other bugs in the area, in particular the bees for being used to idiots with cameras shoving them into foliage and not stinging the crap out of me.

Enjoy

Fly Me Away

I am like the Discovery Channel over here this week.  I need some dramatic music or something to go with my theme.  Shockingly, this is a new picture!  I took this on the very loved Sony A58 with a even more loved Minolta 35-70 with macro lens.  Switched on the macro which kicks off focus peaking (manual focus) on the A58 and whats in focus is lined in white (you can change colors) and you know you got it.  I love the EVF on the camera!
