Visit to Morocco

Visit to Morocco

I round out the national tour of Epcot with Morocco. I still have some random snaps to share but the predominate country themes are over with.┬áThe entire “country” of Morocco was designed to be like a souk with weaving passages and shops scattered about. This is the one county in Epcot that I noticed didn’t push the usual Disney themed crap that the others sold. To give it a more authentic feel as well the smell coming from the restaurant…

The Red Dragon

The Red Dragon

Quick Google search gave me the name for this post. It turns out China’s nickname is the Red Dragon. I read it on the internet so it must be true! I am an admitted lover of Eastern cultures so I may have went a little photo happy in China when I was at Epcot. I really like the color in the East. It’s always so vibrant and all the colors have a meaning. So you recognize the symbology in them….

Norway Anyone?

Norway Anyone?

I first went to Epcot 22 years ago with my sister. I was obsessed with all things Norwegian back then. So I made her eat Norwegian food. I enjoyed it. I think. No real memory of the meal. I do remember the Mickey Mouse shaped butter. As I started to travel internationally I realized I preferred warm places versus freezing cold. The fjords of Norway are lovely to look at on TV and pictures but if you need me I’ll…

Personal Buddha

Personal Buddha

I had Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus stuck in my head while I was doing these images. It’s one of the most covered songs ever. Even Johnny Cash covered it on one of American Recording albums. For those of you that are practicing Buddhist’s I recognize that one of these is not Buddha. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Buddhism here is a hint, Buddha was not a fat, happy guy. I just liked the image. This week will…

Off The Rails

Off The Rails

The connecting theme for all these images in the monorail track that travels between the various parks within Disney World. The reality is I liked the light in the sky and the reflection off the water and the track just happens to be there. This is more abstract style landscape then normal but I find it relaxing and interesting to edit because there are lots of bits to play with. Enjoy.

Alien Moon

Alien Moon

Epcot’s geodesic dome reminds me of moons rising up over an alien planet hence the name. Some say that Orlando, Florida is another world in itself as well so it works for that as well. I recently bought Noiseless Pro and ran it through these images and pleased with the result. The Macphun tools see a lot of use in my landscape images along with my Nik tools that I often run. Well worth the investment. Noiseless Pro did a…

Somewhere In China

Somewhere In China

Or to be more exact, the Disney version of China located in Orlando, Florida. I guess the Disney version of China works if you can’t go to the real thing. I will give Disney their kudos for having native speaking staff at every country. It does give the experience authenticity. In every country I would hear the staff speaking to each other in their own languages. Made it more immersive. So enjoy this Disney version of China.
