I have been working in color too much. I knew I had to go monochrome soon. There is something compelling about monochrome landscape images. When dealing with lots of textures like this image it really draws it out. Bay Sky

This was on the water taxi back from Coronado Island. While it was sunny out, the camera metered on the dark area. The Sony RX100M3 has a different way of spot metering then my Olympus cameras so there is a learning curve. Still, I liked how it came out. The way the sky is swirling and causes the land elements to be silhouetted. The light coming in from the left just adds to the drama of the image. Enjoy

This was shot from Coronado Island which is a view of San Diego I have never seen before. I really liked how the buildings were reflecting off the water. I didn’t use the usual landscape format to give the image a sense of length. I was shooting is 3×2 just for a bit of change up.
