I was wandering through Arlington National Cemetery and the tombstones are amazing there. I did nothing to modify this image. The sky was naturally gray and it just worked with the photo.
There are flower beds outside the building I work in and they caught my fancy so I snapped a quick picture.
I went to shoot a tombstone near where I live in an area where you would not think one would be. I could not get into the area because of this gate so I shot the gate instead. I loved the bokeh affect and I enhanced the pitted iron look on the gate.
Was supposed to be working but instead wandered out and took pictures as it was a beautiful day. This is the side of the building I work in. I bumped the blues and the whites up to make it reflect so cleanly.
I will freely admit I don’t wash my car. Yes it’s mine. If you ask I am going green and saving the environment and just wait for natural ways to wash my car… rain.
It has been a mild winter in the DC area so the flowers have remained alive and well. This was taken outside my office building.
Was at the parental units home for Christmas and they wanted shots of this bird. I had my Canon with me and my 18-200mm lens so I was pressed into service. I think the little guy was annoyed with me taking his picture.
Parental Units wanted lots of shots of this bird. I had to do some heavy editing of this image to clean it up. It was shot through a sliding glass door and there were streaks all over the place but I’m happy with the end result.
I was visiting NYC for the Big Four Concert (Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, Metallica) and this was the view outside of my hotel room. I would love to brag that I used my expensive gear but it was shot on my Canon 1400IS. Quick convert to black and white and some cleaning up and good to go. Goes to show that gear isn’t always the mark of a great photography.
