While these aren’t images from my latest flight it is representative of modern travel anymore. You just rush from one place to the next. Another airport; another destination. They start to blur after awhile. I don’t even pay attention anymore as the faces and places blur by. So enjoy the adventures in modern travel.
I shared one image from the plane show I went to which was the Japanese plane. I shot a bit more but I wasn’t in a position to process them as I was on travel and forgot to bring a mouse which makes masking a bit of a pain without it. I wanted to shoot the planes differently then just the normal. I have a think for airplane engines in that I like the symmetry of them so I took a wee bit more of them then anything else but the angles on the rest give a different perspective of the planes I hope. Enjoy.
Selfie! My style.
For some reason the numbers on the boats prows just fascinated me. This series almost was in black and white but I did a little extra editing and left it in color and pleased with it. Photographically speaking, not that exciting. This was me seeing how much detail I could get out the images. There is a lot going on around the boats that draw the attention. I wanted that detail to be involved versus just the numbers. Enjoy.

Was out shooting and have a deadline for a set of images to be delivered so going back to Panama quicker than anticipated. This is from my trip out to the Causeway. Enjoy.
The Causeway is a weird area that is on the ocean that is outside of Panama City proper. It took about 45 minute by taxi and the guy just dropped me off at the furtherest point and off I went. There are lots of marinas in the area and you can see lots of shipping traffic and boats moored just off shore. I have a few more to share after this but sadly my visit was cut short because as I was halfway down the path heading to a what I think was a science museum the heavens opened up. I got lucky and a taxi just drove by and I flagged him down and jumped in saving myself and my gear from getting soaked.
I always have a camera with me when I travel. The Ricoh GR just fits nicely in my pockets so I have been traveling with it recently. I decided to mix it up with color and black and white. Enjoy.
Now that I have switched coasts in Florida I have different water pictures. Shot this one today. For anyone thinking of venturing into South East Asia come for Florida and learn to shoot with sunlight from Hell. You will learn to love a variable neutral density filter when you are shooting mid-day.
I will freely admit that I don’t like the Washington DC Metro. Living in the suburbs means you drive and public transportation just isn’t something most of us consider. When I have to go into DC itself its more convenient to take the Metro from my office to the office we have downtown considering the stop is in the building. So with camera in hand off I went.
I almost didn’t publish these because I had my Olympus EM1 with my Nikon 55 1.2 attached to the camera so everything was manual focus which is a bit of a challenge in a dark environment with an electronic viewfinder. I did one set of edits and hated them so I scrapped them and went back in and did them another way that I am more comfortable with and Subway Stories was born. None of the images are technically flawless but its a change of pace of endless flower pictures which I am not really a fan of but apparently I’m really good at shooting.
Staring down the tunnel waiting for the train.
The signs let you know which way the train is heading. If you are public transportation challenged like me they are extremely helpful so you don’t screw up and get on the wrong train not that I have done that (much).
Imagine Tattoo from Fantasy Island going “The Train! The Train!”, If you don’t get that reference here you go.
