Derelict Fishing Boat In Thailand

Derelict Fishing Boat In Thailand

Found this in a little fishing village down in Na Jomtien. No idea how long it’s been sitting derelict but it looks to be awhile. The thing was behind a fence so just having my Sony RX100III on me I put the lens through and got the photo.

Enjoy

  1. That is one derelict boat for sure. I wonder if it is sea worthy? It is odd to see such a wreck next to such a clean, modern building.

    1. Not really. See it all the time in Thailand. That area was fenced off and likely owned by a developer and I was in a small fishing village. Take you to a small very upscale neighborhood and directly behind it is a field full of trash and stray dogs along with small homeless shacks.

You want a real shock, watch the billion Baht buildings go up and see the squalor of the migrant workers living on site with no electricity, water, or sewage. They build shacks out of leftover building materials.

The tourist ministry just doesn’t want you to see that. Would ruin their image. Amazing Thailand is more like facade Thailand. Don’t look too deep.
