Sky Wheel

I guess that this is what its called. It’s in the area known as the LINQ in Las Vegas. It was one of the hardest shots to get that night. It took me forever to finally get it all dialed in to get the shot. I had to make sure I had a fast enough shutter speed to freeze the wheel. Even though it was moving at a snails pace I was still blurring the shots.

The LINQ was also one of the few places I got asked to stop shooting. There was a private event going on there and the guard asked me if I was with the event. I answered no and so he asked me to stop shooting. No fuss and I said understood and happily went on my way. I had finally gotten my shot.

Enjoy

  1. I like your photo. I enlarged it to get more clarity and it is cool. There must be a color regulation in Las Vegas, the show lights seem to be all blue in color. Also, blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. Perhaps this is the reason, Las Vegas choose it. Just my thoughts on all of the blue lights in Las Vegas.
