Bexar County Courthouse

Bexar County Courthouse

As the title indicates this is the Bexar County Courthouse located in downtown San Antonio, Texas. According to the river boat cruise I took its one of America’s oldest active courthouses. Since I have done no historical research I’ll take it as fact.

Now, on to the photo. Yep, back to HDR world again. I know I could have corrected the image to make the building proportional but it made it boring. I liked how it curves up to meet the sky and its my world so why not leave it as is. There were lots of layers and cursing while I did this one because oh yeah, Photoshop will crash if you have a layer mask on while you open up a third party tool. So remember to merge down or enjoy losing all your work.

Enjoy.

  1. I have read books that have that courthouse as a location. Never thought it would look like that. Thanks for showing it to me. Great piece of photography.

  2. The architecture is grand in this old courthouse. It would be a shame to destroy this building. The fountain in the courtyard is also a piece of art. One can sit and take in the all of the grandeur of it all. We enjoyed.

  3. Heading to the region tomorrow (Austin). Am planning on heading to San Antonio for a day or two. Will definitely check this out.
