Hole in the Sky

Hole in the Sky

Hole in the sky, take me to heaven
Window in time, through it I fly

Props if you get that reference.  The lyric snippet might help

I have never really been happy with my sky shots.  I always hated the noise introduced in them regardless of the ISO you shoot them at.  Then I read some article about reducing noise in Photoshop but it basically said if you have the money use Topaz deNoise.  I have the Topaz suite which is great but its just not user friendly as the Nik software tools so I rarely use it.  So I ran all these through deNoise and was very pleased with the results.  I will fully admit that two of these were shot while driving. The crane shot was done while I was at a stoplight and the one with the light bursting through the clouds “might” have been shot while driving.  When the zombie apocalypse hits I will volunteer to drive armored vehicles via LCD screens.  I am rather good at it.

All of these were shot on Precious aka my Olympus EM1 with the 20mm 1.7.

Hole in the Sky

I left the weird bokeh balls in the image on purpose. I could have Photoshopped them out but I like how the camera picked up the dust on the windshield even at F/16.

Hole in the Sky

Maybe shot while driving.  If I was then it was practice for the zombie apocalypse.

  1. We liked your sky photos. The first shot, blue sky is the nicest. The second shot is nice but not into black and white. The third shot, that sky is mean looking and ready to rain down on you. Tulips are still on computer. They are nice.
