More from what is becoming my daily walks. I felt like using the 16×9 crop for all these since they just felt more natural that way. The Ricoh GR and the mighty Canon 330HS were used and its obvious to tell which is which. The interesting thing with the Canon versus say the Olympus is I have a hard time telling them apart unless I look at the image names. The Ricoh having a standard APS-C sensor which is larger than the Micro 4/3 sensor gives images richer tones. Does this mean I plan on purging my Micro 4/3 gear? Nope. The reality is I’m invested in the lenses and chasing pixels is pointless. If I was to ever ditch the Micro 4/3 stuff it would be for Fuji and their lovely X-Trans sensor which is magical on color saturation. Only problem is no image stabilization in Fuji that I know of. While I can hand hold at 1/30th of a second shutter speed on my Fuji X100s it requires me to pay full attention. If I see 1/30th on the Olympus I can break out in dance and be pretty sure I get a shot. Unrelated note, I think I see another print run coming up for that flag picture. That one is damn near magical with the colors.
