I may have acquired a new camera as a reward for doing my taxes in a timely manner. When I used to acquire a new camera or lens I would point it at my cat when she was alive. Like all good cats she learned to completely ignore me. Since I no longer work to support her as I merely provided for her and was nothing but a mere slave to her whims I now have to point the camera at other objects. Flowers are similar to cats. They just stare back at you like you are an idiot. So I got really good at shooting flowers since I started with cats. That being said behold the magnificence of the Ricoh GR. These colors are straight out of the camera without me bumping the saturation. The 28mm lens and the 16mp sensor means some mighty fine shooting. The 3:2 aspect versus the 4:3 I am used to makes it interesting for me. I put the camera in macro mode for these shots. Since I do this at a market I have to fire the shots off quick before security comes running over so not the best composed images but they work for the request. Tomorrow I will return to the regularly scheduled photos where I return to my fine arts photography or whatever you call it.
