No real theme going here. Just random shots as I am closing out the series.
Just to prove I don’t shoot flowers all the time! It’s becoming my style of street photography. Pay attention to the ordinary.
No macro shots today. These are were all shot on the Canon 330HS which Canon will cease to make as they leave the compact camera industry. I guess they think the flappy mirror monstrosities that they push are somehow money makers. I can’t say I miss my Canon 5DMK2 but I would miss my 330HS.
I could not think of a catchy title and its to be perfectly honest a crappy picture but I like the colors in it. This was shot on a Minolta 28mm 3.5 manual focus through my car window at a light which you can just see turning green in the right hand corner. So I had to manually focus and hope for the best. I reviewed the shots taken with this lens and it might be on its way out…
Its like a Miami Vice episode with the pastels in this one.
I just happened to find these two pictures while working on something else and figured why not. Shot on Canon SD1400 precursor to the mighty Canon 330HS. Yes, I really was over France at the time. You can see the French writing on the wings as it was an Air France flight.
I have been all over the place this week with photos and I have shot at least 500-700 images since last Sunday but I had a side project that required me to leave earlier than I normally venture forth and I had the Sigma DP1 with me. This is just the stairs leading to the second floor of my condo building and I saw the sun and the shadows and took the shot. This is the type of stuff the…
While everyone seems to love the flowers I needed a break. These images were shot at the same time with the sun being bright in the sky. To be perfectly honest I am just goofing around here which is why the image sizes are all over the map and there isn’t even a consistent editing style. I did debate removing the pigeons from Grant’s head I kinda like the irreverence of the whole thing.
I knew some of these images were going to be in black and white when I took them. I think it sometimes brings out textures or features that would otherwise be missed in color. There is a tonality to black and white that color lacks if that makes sense. Some of these images were shot on a manual focus Minolta 50mm 3.5 macro lens that I totally forgot I owned. It doesn’t go to 1:1 like the Olympus 60mm but…
Just keeping with the theme. I’ll change it up tomorrow for some other views.
