Landscapes Night Photography Planes

Rainbow in the Dark

I went with the airplane theme as I am off to the Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center today to shoot some planes and then more night shooting.  Extra points if you get where the title came from and throw up your metal horns as a salute.

Shot over the Roosevelt Bridge which just happens to be on the flight path to Reagan National Airport.  The jet was coming in and I just happened to have the camera aimed in that direction and heard it so pressed the shutter button and enjoyed the magic.  This one was a bit of an effort in editing to clean out the noise on the dark areas which showed up when was doing color correction but in the end I think I got most of it out thanks to DeNoise from Nik Software.  The frame was added in SnapSeed.
