Feeding Time

Old image that I had and shot a while back.  My editing skills weren’t as good back then so I tweaked it and ran it through Color Efex and forgot the settings I used but they were under nature.  Did a massive crop to get the bird in focus then turned on the 1×1 crop to make it look a bit cleaner.  The final edit was a frame added.  I admit to being inspired by Bella Remy Photography to do a bit more editing than is my normal.

  1. Oh one of my favorite pictures! It is feeding time in WV. My husband and I love our birds and the Pileated Woodpecker is a delight when we can tempt him in for a bite of suet or corn. Love the birds and animals in WV. Hoping I can charm our feather friends in FL to stop and have a bite to eat at our house.

  2. Look at you being an editing genius! I hadn’t tried the 1:1 ratio thing. I imagine you do that in lightroom right? I have seen that on the top left and use it when I zoom in. Is it also in the crop menu on the right?
Thanks for the shout out for being an inspiration for you. 🙂
OH..doing a captive birds of prey workshop next weekend at Soldiers Delight Natl Area. Can’t wait to see what I come up with.
